As President of Torch Digital, Carlo is in charge of all Business Development.
His involvement in various aspects of media production over the past decade
has provided him with knowledge and experience as well as a modern and inventive
vision of the future.
Prior to Torch Digital, Mr. Spicola worked as a consultant for Bozell Worldwide
where he helped to successfully land the ad agency's first interactive account
for the new Interactive Services division. He then assembled a team that
went on to launch a new campaign for the Internet's fifteenth largest advertiser
- Datek.
Previous to Bozell, Carlo worked for MTV Networks in various production
and marketing positions for several of the company's divisions including
MTV On-Air Promos, MTV Network Creative Services and Nickelodeon Online.

Kyle Schad supervises the production of all Torch Digital projects and
many of the company's day-to-day operations. He's spent the past seven years
producing an array of media projects, and his versatility enables him to
assemble and lead teams of Producers, Copywriters, Designers, Animators,
Programmers, and Editors -- or just about any other production resource
required to get the job done.
Prior to Torch Digital, Kyle served as Supervising Producer at Bozell Worldwide.
At Bozell, he worked closely with the Account teams on both the agency and
client side in an effort to guide the development of an Internet campaign
for the medium's fifteenth largest advertiser in Datek. As creative and
marketing objectives were defined, Kyle initiated and managed the production
process by leading a team of Designers and Developers.
Prior to Bozell, Kyle filled various production roles at companies ranging
from media conglomerates to Internet start-ups. He served as Executive Producer
of LetsPlay where he lead the interface development and all production functions
in support of an email-based game and marketing tool. As Senior Producer
at USA Network Interactive, he worked with the channel's senior management
to define and redesign a brand extending Web presence. And at Nickelodeon
Online, Kyle served as Producer/Communications Manager where he helped launch
the leading Internet site for kids.
Edward Chowdhury guides all technology decisions at Torch Digital and brings
a hard-nosed, bottom-line focused approach to these decisions. His seven
years of varied web, database and multimedia expertise allow him to bridge
the gaps between business, technology and art. A firm believer in technology,
he thinks it's most powerful when it streamlines how people work rather
than endeavouring to change the way they work.
Edward learned his craft on the job starting as a programmer of DNA collection
robots for the Human Genome Project and achieved prominence as Web Manager at Nickelodeon Online,
the highest trafficked kid's site on the Internet. At Nick, he managed day-to-day
technical and publishing operations, and led a team of programmers and freelancers
working on ongoing projects
Prior to Torch Digital, Edward was the Lead Game Developer at Letsplay Inc.,
an innovative email-based gaming company, where he developed networked-games
for palm pilots, cell phones, web browsers and email clients.
Before this, Edward worked as a freelance developer on a number of projects
including the creation of a sophisticated service for building your own
web portal. The service empowered non-technical users by allowing them to
utilize point and click administrative tools to control all aspects of their
site. Edward also spent time implementing sophisticated database caching
strategies for Netgrocer and Nickelodeon to ease the load on their servers.
Matthew Abate is Torch Digital's very own design ace. He inherits most of Torch's toughest design challenges, as he has the uncanny ability to systemically organize information in a highly artistic manner. Through visual interpretation of a product, Matthew feels he can provide insight into a brand's identities and cultures.
Prior to Torch, Matthew worked as a Designer at Bozell Worldwide where he was a driving force behind the look and feel of a Datek Internet campaign. His exertions resulted in a creative effort comprised of 150 banner ads and over ten landing pages in the campaign's initial rollout. Matthew visually reinforced the concept of 'superior information through superior technology' by creating banners that deviated from the standard shapes seen elsewhere on the Web.
Previous to that, Matthew worked at the digital strategy and design provider, Razorfish. At Razorfish, he collaborated on the design of Web sites and interfaces for multinational corporations such as 3com and Nike.
